From “lucky money” at the beginning of the year and spot bonuses to rental support and increased attendance allowances, these policies are considered practical amid rising recruitment demand.
Recruitment demand surges
At major industrial parks such as Amata, Bien Hoa 2, Long Thanh, Dong Xoai, and Nhon Trach, recruitment activities began in earnest on the seventh day of the Lunar New Year. Numerous enterprises posted job openings to meet early-year production orders and ensure on-time delivery to partners. At industrial park gates and across online recruitment platforms, job listings have been continuously updated, with strong demand for production workers, technicians, warehouse staff, and general laborers.
To enhance their appeal, businesses have introduced a range of preferential policies and benefits. Jason Furniture Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Dong Xoai III Industrial Park (IP), Binh Phuoc ward, employs more than 5,500 workers and is currently seeking over 1,000 general laborers, offering a total monthly income of VND9–12 million. After the probation period, workers receive an attendance allowance of VND850,000, job application support of VND300,000 per person, and travel support ranging from VND500,000 to VND1 million. Demobilized soldiers are entitled to an additional VND2 million per person.
To retain employees, enterprises across Dong Nai implemented various welfare programs during the Lunar New Year 2026, including average bonuses equivalent to one month’s salary, gold gifts for long-serving workers, and rewards for outstanding employees. On the first working day after the holiday, many companies continued to offer lucky money and encouragement to create positive momentum for production.
Duong Hoang An, Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union at Jason Furniture Vietnam Co., Ltd., said the company has secured multiple new orders, leading to increased recruitment demand. However, hiring remains challenging at the beginning of the year. Therefore, the company has proactively adjusted and improved salary and allowance policies to strengthen its competitiveness in attracting workers.
He added that, in recent years, the enterprise has continuously improved welfare conditions to enhance workers’ quality of life. Measures include building dormitories and providing facilities such as a hair salon, yoga and gym rooms, and a mini supermarket. In addition, the company ensures Tet bonuses and fosters a united working environment that encourages innovation and technical improvements. It expects its workforce situation to improve in the coming months to meet its 2026 production plan.
Similarly, Longwell Co., Ltd., located in Dau Giay IP and specializing in the production of sports footwear for export, currently employs about 5,000 workers. Upon reopening after Tet on February 23, the company posted vacancies for hundreds of workers to meet export-order schedules, offering a basic salary of over VND6 million per month, along with attendance allowances, production bonuses, and shuttle bus services. Interviews are held daily, and successful applicants can start work immediately. Newly hired skilled workers receive a VND2 million bonus, while employees who refer friends receive VND1.2 million per referral.
According to the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, since February 23 (the seventh day of the first lunar month), enterprises have reopened with a high rate of workers returning to work. In several localities such as Ho Nai, Phuoc Tan, Bu Dang, Binh Phuoc, and Dong Phu, the return rate reached 99–100 percent. Many companies have proactively introduced early-year incentives to stabilize their workforce and accelerate production from the outset.
Positive signals for the labor market
Reports from enterprises indicate that, in addition to boosting production, companies are focusing on retaining long-serving employees by increasing seniority allowances, providing rental support of VND300,000–500,000 per month, and organizing lucky draws with valuable prizes at the beginning of the year. Some enterprises have launched “refer a friend” programs, offering bonuses ranging from VND1–2 million per person. Additional support measures include shuttle buses, increased travel allowances, and childcare support.
Topband Smart Dong Nai (Viet Nam) Co., Ltd. in Long Thanh commune is building an additional production workshop scheduled to become operational in April 2026. Consequently, the company is recruiting around 1,000 general workers aged 18–40 who are literate. The main tasks involve assembling electronic components, with income reaching VND10–13 million per month, including overtime. Employees who refer friends or relatives receive cash bonuses of VND1–2 million per person.
Early recruitment efforts not only ensure a sufficient workforce for production but also help stabilize the local labor market and drive economic growth in Dong Nai during the first months of 2026.
In 2025 alone, Topband Smart Dong Nai (Viet Nam) Co., Ltd. increased salaries by VND1 million per person for 3,000 employees. Currently, the average income without overtime stands at VND7.8 million per month. Tran Ngoc Hai, a worker at the company, said a comfortable working environment, combined with favorable benefit policies, has given him confidence to remain committed to the enterprise in the long term.
Meanwhile, Goodwood Viet Nam Co., Ltd. in Becamex – Binh Phuoc IP, Chon Thanh ward has also begun recruiting from the start of 2026. With abundant orders, the company offers VND800,000 in rental support during the first month of employment and reimburses travel expenses for job interviews. Additional incentives include referral bonuses, seniority allowances, and technical worker rewards ranging from VND500,000 to VND6 million per person.
According to the Dong Nai Employment Service Center, enterprises across the province are expected to recruit approximately 173,000 workers in 2026, including around 35,000 in the first quarter alone. The rise in hiring demand is considered a positive sign of expanding production and business activities. Sectors with high labor demand include textiles and garments, footwear, construction, wood processing, mechanics, and electronics. The Employment Service Center will continue intensifying information dissemination and organizing both online and in-person job fairs to connect labor supply and demand better.
Amid strong export orders, flexible remuneration policies, and attention to workers’ welfare, these factors are expected to remain key factors enabling Dong Nai enterprises to sustain growth momentum and enhance competitiveness in 2026. With positive employment signals from the very beginning of the year, the province’s labor market is anticipated to remain vibrant, generating more job opportunities and stable incomes for workers.
