Attending the ceremony were Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council Ton Ngoc Hanh; Deputy Secretary of the PPC and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long, along with leaders of relevant departments, sectors and localities.
The project covers a total area of about 1,500 hectares, including a 410-hectare high-tech concentrated livestock farming zone; a 76-hectare area for animal feed production and high-tech agro-product processing under a closed value chain; a 600-hectare area for fruit trees and medicinal plants; and an 80-hectare system of synchronized technical infrastructure.
The project aims to form a large-scale high-tech agricultural zone integrating livestock farming, cultivation and processing along a closed value chain. It will apply advanced technologies, automation and digitalization in production management, disease control and product traceability. The project also targets a circular economy model, with the reuse of by-products and waste, the use of renewable energy, energy saving, greenhouse gas emission reduction and environmental protection. Through this, it is expected to create momentum for local socio-economic development, attract investment, generate jobs, and improve income and living standards for residents of Thuan Loi commune.

Dong Nai Department of Agriculture and Environment (DoAE) is the investor and the agency responsible for organizing international open bidding to select contractors for the high-tech livestock farming zone in Thuan Loi commune. The project’s preliminary total investment is estimated at about 30.5 trillion VND. The entire project is expected to be put into operation in the second quarter of 2029.
Speaking at the ceremony, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long emphasized that the launch of the high-tech concentrated livestock production and agro-processing project in Thuan Loi commune is a meaningful event celebrating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam. It also clearly demonstrates the province’s determination to renew its approach to agricultural development toward modernization and sustainability.

Dong Nai’s agriculture still has ample room for development, particularly in the application of science and technology, value-chain-based production organization and value-added enhancement. Therefore, the formation of high-tech agricultural zones, concentrated agriculture, and production linked with processing and markets is an inevitable direction that the province has been persistently pursuing. The launch of this project in Thuan Loi commune is a concrete step toward realizing that orientation. The project not only contributes to in-depth agricultural restructuring but also aims to build a modern, closed-loop and circular production model—from breeding, livestock farming and cultivation, processing to consumption and export.
High-tech agricultural development is not only an economic issue but also a responsibility toward the environment, the community and future generations. Dong Nai identifies this as a sustainable and long-term development path that requires the joint efforts of enterprises, scientists and farmers. With a spirit of openness and cooperation, Dong Nai province welcomes investors who share the aspiration of building a modern, efficient and highly competitive agricultural sector.
