This marked the fourth working delegation that worked with localities and enterprises regarding the balancing of supply and demand for essential goods serving the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026 (second phase) in the province since early February 2026.
Accordingly, the delegation conducted working sessions and field surveys on Tet goods supply at Winmart and Kohnan Bien Hoa supermarkets at Vincom Bien Hoa Trade Center in Tam Hiep ward, Go! Nhon Trach Supermarket in Nhon Trach commune, Long Thanh Market in Long Thanh commune, among others. At the meetings, representatives of supermarkets and markets stated that they had proactively implemented plans to balance supply and demand and ensure adequate goods provision during the Tet shopping peak.
Dang Tran Nhat Thoai, Deputy Head of the Trade Management Division under the DoIT, noted that recent inspections and surveys have effectively promoted the program of monitoring and coordinating goods during the Tet shopping peak. Supplies of essential goods have been fully prepared, diversified in types and guaranteed in quality, thereby meeting the sharply rising shopping demand of residents during Tet. Enterprises participating in the market stabilization program have proactively increased their reserves by 10–30 percent compared to normal months, especially essential items such as rice, livestock and poultry meat, eggs, cooking oil, sugar, confectionery and beverages. Through on-site inspections, no shortages or supply disruptions were recorded.

The listing of prices and selling at listed prices have been strictly implemented by units and enterprises. Through monitoring activities, the DoIT has promptly reminded and rectified several cases that had not fully complied with price listing regulations, thereby helping to curb unreasonable price hikes and safeguard consumers’ rights.
