The road is expected to help complete and synchronize technical infrastructure, expand urban space along the river, reduce traffic pressure on existing roads, and form a landscape axis connecting the eastern gateway of the province’s central area. The project also holds strategic significance, opening up a modern riverside urban space and enabling more effective utilization of the Dong Nai River’s advantages.
Addressing the ceremony, Member of the PPC and Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized that the Cai River riverside road construction project is one of the province’s key urban infrastructure projects in the current period. Beyond improving traffic connectivity and easing congestion on inner-city roads, the project will create a riverside landscape corridor, laying an important foundation for the development of trade, services and tourism, while enhancing residents’ quality of life.

The project’s commencement further reaffirms Dong Nai’s consistent view of taking infrastructure development, particularly urban transport infrastructure, as a strategic breakthrough to create a foundation for rapid and sustainable development in the coming period.
According to Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang, Resolution No. 01 of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term clearly identifies the task of mobilizing maximum resources to invest in infrastructure development, with a focus on urban transport and connectivity infrastructure, viewing this as a key driver for economic growth, urban renewal and improved living standards.
The Cai River riverside road construction project serves as vivid evidence of translating the Party Committee’s resolutions into practice, demonstrating the strong political determination of the PPC, the People’s Council and the People’s Committee to concentrate resources on projects with wide spillover effects, create new development corridors, and contribute to building a more civilized and modern provincial urban center.

Once completed, the road will help form a green, clean and attractive riverside urban space, harmoniously combining socio-economic development with environmental improvement and the utilization of natural values of the Dong Nai River basin.
To ensure the project meets its objectives, Vice Chairwoman of Dong Nai People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang called on the investor and contractors to mobilize maximum manpower, organize construction in a scientific manner, strictly comply with technical, safety and environmental regulations, and strive to complete the project on schedule. She also urged relevant departments, sectors and local authorities to closely coordinate in site clearance and promptly address any difficulties, while encouraging residents in the project area to continue supporting and cooperating to facilitate smooth implementation and optimal effectiveness.
“The Provincial People’s Committee will regularly direct, inspect and urge implementation to ensure the project is carried out effectively and meets the expectations of the people,” Nguyen Thi Hoang affirmed.
