Dong Nai leaders meet and engage in dialogue with more than 300 FDI enterprises

On February 5, Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee organized a conference to meet foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprises currently operating in the province.

Attending the conference were Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC) Vo Tan Duc; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long; Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Director of the Department of Finance Truong Thi Huong Binh; along with leaders of departments, agencies and sectors; business associations from Taiwan (China), the Republic of Korea and Japan; representatives of consulates; and more than 300 FDI enterprises.

The conference provided an opportunity for FDI enterprises to share their advantages and difficulties, as well as to put forward opinions and recommendations related to taxation, customs, infrastructure and administrative procedures to provincial leaders and relevant departments and agencies.

Speaking at the event, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long acknowledged the contributions and commended FDI enterprises operating in the province for their significant role in Dong Nai’s socio-economic development in recent years.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee affirmed that the purpose of the conference was to exchange information and listen to the views and feedback of enterprises engaged in production and business activities in Dong Nai. Based on this, the Provincial leaders and relevant departments and agencies would address inquiries and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles facing FDI enterprises, while strengthening relations, linkages and information sharing between local authorities and the FDI business community.

To date, Dong Nai has attracted investment from 51 countries and territories, with 2,255 FDI projects and total registered capital of more than USD 43 billion.

With advantages in abundant industrial land resources and convenient, diversified transport infrastructure, Dong Nai is expected to remain an attractive destination for foreign investors in the coming period, particularly in industrial parks.

Regarding FDI enterprises currently operating in the province, leaders of the Provincial People’s Committee expressed their hope that businesses would strictly comply with relevant legal regulations, especially those related to environmental protection, in order to contribute to sustainable economic development in Dong Nai in the future.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long emphasized that the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, together with relevant departments, sectors and localities, would always accompany, share and support FDI enterprises from the investment preparation stage through project implementation and throughout their production and business operations in the province. He also called on FDI enterprises in Dong Nai to continue investing in and expanding their projects in the province, while introducing other enterprises from their home countries to explore investment opportunities in Dong Nai.

On this occasion, 14 FDI enterprises with outstanding achievements in production and business activities during the 2024–2025 period were awarded certificates of merit by the Provincial People’s Committee.
