On the afternoon of February 24, the Dong Nai Employment Service Center reported that, based on a compilation of recruitment demand from businesses across the province, businesses in 2026 are expected to register plans to hire about 173,000 workers.

In Q1 of 2026 alone, businesses are expected to recruit about 35,000 workers. Demand for human resources is rising as businesses ramp up production and fulfill export orders after the Tet holiday.

The average starting income for newly recruited employees is above 8 million VND per person per month. Industries with strong recruitment demand include textiles and garments, footwear, construction, wood processing, mechanics, electronics, and others. Notably, many businesses in the footwear sector need to hire large numbers of workers, including some seeking 1,000 employees.

To connect labor supply and demand, the Dong Nai Employment Service Center continues to innovate its model for organizing job fairs, while strengthening coordination with localities through a network of collaborators to support job placement in 95 communes and wards. In addition, it coordinates with colleges and vocational schools in the province to implement the Job Corner model for students, aiming to diversify human resources, meet businesses’ recruitment needs, and create jobs for workers. The focus is on prioritizing employment for workers in border communes, ethnic minorities, workers from poor households, and those with professional qualifications and skills aligned with the province’s overall development orientation.

In 2025 alone, the center received more than 7,700 business contacts for recruitment, totaling over 166,000 workers. Accordingly, the province created jobs for 131,000 people, achieving 105% of the annual plan, a 21.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
