Technical traffic opening held for Dong Nai Riverside Road

On the morning of January 15, the Dong Nai Riverside Road Project was opened to technical traffic, along with other works and projects in Dong Nai province that were launched, opened to traffic to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the 96th anniversary of the founding of CPV (February 3, 1930 – 2026).

Attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, including Ho Van Nam, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward; Dang Minh Nguyet, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairwoman of the People's Council of Long Khanh Ward; and leaders of some departments, agencies, and localities.

The Dong Nai Riverside Road Project is an important transport infrastructure project of great significance in the urban and socio-economic development strategy of the province. The road is 5.2km long with a total investment of about 1.3 trillion VND (of which construction costs are about 450 billion VND, compensation and site clearance costs are about 800 billion VND), and construction began in late 2021.

After a period of sustained effort to overcome many difficulties in construction conditions, site clearance, and fluctuations in material prices, the project has been basically completed and is eligible for technical traffic opening, meeting the requirements for quality, aesthetics, and traffic safety.

The Dong Nai Riverside Road is 34m wide, with 6 lanes, a median strip, and sidewalks on both sides. In addition, the lighting system, greenery, and riverside park have also been synchronously invested in and built. When completed and put into operation, the Dong Nai Riverside Road will help share the traffic flow on Huynh Van Nghe Street; the road will also create an urban landscape axis on the East bank of the Dong Nai River.

In the future, along with the investment in the Hoa An Bridge Underpass Project, the Dong Nai Riverside Road will be connected to the Nguyen Van Tri Road and linked through the Cai Riverside Road, creating a new traffic appearance for the central urban area of Dong Nai.

Speaking at the ceremony, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward Ho Van Nam affirmed: The operation of the Dong Nai Riverside Road is of particular importance, contributing to completing the urban transport network and strengthening the connection between the central area and neighboring areas. The project also creates new development space along the river, promoting urban embellishment, and developing trade - services - tourism.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tran Bien Ward Ho Van Nam praised and highly appreciated the efforts of the investor, consulting unit, construction contractor, departments, agencies, and local authorities that have coordinated closely and worked with a high sense of responsibility to ensure the project was opened to traffic soon. The provincial leaders also respectfully thanked the consensus, support, and sharing of the people, especially the households in the project area who had complied with the site clearance policy, contributing significantly to the overall progress of the project.

To complete the entire project, in the coming time, relevant units will continue to complete the remaining items according to the approved design; organize the management, operation, and maintenance of the route effectively, ensuring traffic safety and urban aesthetics. This will create a basis for maximizing the investment efficiency of the project, associated with the urban development planning along the Dong Nai River in a sustainable manner.
