The panel discussion was held within the framework of two national-level science and technology projects: “Research on scientific principles and proposed solutions for sustainable national industrial development toward 2030, with a vision to 2045”, and “Improving the policy system to enhance innovation capacity of Vietnamese enterprises in the context of digital transformation”.

At the event, participants discussed the current situation and orientations for industrial development in Dong Nai Province toward 2030, with a vision to 2045, as well as solutions to enhance innovation capacity of enterprises amid digital transformation. Representatives of departments, experts and businesses shared insights into the current production and business operations of enterprises, along with policy barriers and obstacles affecting enterprise development and growth in the new context, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises.

Associate Professor Phan Thi Bich Nguyet, Chairwoman of the UEH Alumni Executive Board at the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, noted that Vietnam’s economy is facing new requirements to transform its growth model toward sustainability while improving productivity and national competitiveness. Through the seminar, researchers will gain a clearer understanding of the actual development of enterprises, record local experiences, clarify existing conditions, difficulties and emerging issues, and draw appropriate policy implications. These efforts aim to improve policies to enhance innovation capacity of enterprises in Dong Nai province in particular and Vietnam in general, thereby contributing to new momentum toward achieving double-digit growth targets in the new development period.
