According to flower-growing households in Gia Kiem commune, this year, due to the leap year, planting schedules have been adjusted compared to previous years. At this point, flowers in local gardens have only begun to form buds. Growers are intensifying care efforts, including fertilizing, watering, and tying plants, to ensure progress for the Tet flower season.

At most flower gardens in this area, large-flowered chrysanthemums comprise the majority of plantings, so the primary task during this period is hiring workers to thin out buds to promote even and beautiful growth. In the gardens, many workers are focused on removing small buds to ensure the plants grow well and meet quality standards.

For other flower varieties such as cockscomb, small chrysanthemums, and marigolds, growers are also focusing on fertilizing and weeding to ensure the flowers develop in time for the season. Many gardens, with thousands of flower pots of various sizes, are busily preparing for the upcoming Tet flower season.
