According to observations at numerous supermarkets and shopping centres across Dong Nai province, the number of visitors and shoppers rose sharply during the first days of the 2026 New Year holiday.

Supermarkets, shopping centres, businesses, and convenience store chains rolled out a wide range of demand-stimulating activities to attract customers during this period. Notably, many large-scale promotional programmes focused on Vietnamese-made products.
A representative from the marketing department of Co.opmart Bien Hoa (Tam Hiep ward, Dong Nai province), Trang Phuc, said that during the 2026 New Year holiday, the supermarket launched a series of promotions offering discounts of up to 50% on essential Tet goods such as cakes, candies, candied fruits, sausages, soft drinks, beverages, spices, vegetables, meat and fish, along with personal care products, household items, detergents and Tet clothing. The number of shoppers visiting the supermarket on the evening of December 31 and on January 1 rose by 40% compared to a typical weekend day.

Similarly, Le Duc Thuan, Director of Lotte Mart Dong Nai (Long Binh ward, Dong Nai province), stated that the supermarket is running a promotion program titled “Welcoming the 2026 New Year, mega sale explosion,” featuring a wide range of attractive offers for customers. On the evening of December 31 and the first day of 2026, the number of visitors and shoppers at Lotte Mart Dong Nai increased by nearly 50% compared to a regular weekend.
