On January 20, according to the Southern Expressway Projects Management Unit (SEPMU), construction output of the entire Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway Project has so far reached about 97%. At present, only two contract packages of the whole project remain under construction, namely the National Highway 51 interchange and the Phuoc Khanh Bridge.

Also according to SEPMU, construction progress of the remaining contract packages of the project is currently very positive. Of these, the construction output of the National Highway 51 interchange package has reached about 53%. The contractor has completed most of the bored piles and bridge abutments and piers, while continuing work on roadbed construction, casting and launching Super-T girders, and building the bridge deck. This package is expected to be completed by April 2026 and will not affect the operation of expressway sections that have already been opened to traffic.
For the contract package of Phuoc Khanh Bridge, the contractor, that is focusing on construction of the main span of the Phuoc Khanh cable-stayed bridge, has completed the installation of the sixth cable bundle and is preparing to carry out subsequent works on the approach bridge sections. Progress of this package is basically in line with the approved schedule, with completion expected in July 2026.
Regarding site clearance, for the National Highway 51 interchange package, Dong Nai province has recently accelerated handover of land to the project owner. Accordingly, from November 2025 to early January 2026, the locality handed over land for 95 out of 111 cases, equivalent to about 2.15 hectares. Through mobilization efforts, more households have recently continued to hand over additional land to serve construction work.
The Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway has a total length of nearly 58 kilometers, running through Dong Nai and Tay Ninh provinces and Ho Chi Minh City. The expressway is being developed with four motor vehicle lanes and two emergency lanes, and a design speed of 100 km/h, meeting Class A expressway standards. To date, about 55 kilometers of the project have been completed. Of which, 30 kilometers have been put into operation and toll collection with all seven interchanges in place, featuring all seven interchanges fully operational. The remaining approximately 25 kilometers have been completed but cannot be opened to traffic yet due to the lack of access interchanges.
On December 19, 2025, Binh Khanh Bridge, one of the two largest bridges on the Ben Luc – Long Thanh Expressway, was completed and inaugurated.
