Signing ceremony for funding the first social housing project in Long Thanh Commune

On December 2, in Long Thanh Commune, the Long Thanh Riverside Joint Stock Company and the Vietcombank Long Thanh branch held a signing ceremony for a loan agreement to finance the iD Town Social Housing Project as the first social housing project in Long Thanh Commune.

Attending the ceremony were Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Long Thanh Commune People’s Committee Le Hoang Son, along with representatives from Vietcombank Long Thanh branch and the enterprises.

The iD Town Social Housing Project, developed by Long Thanh Riverside Joint Stock Company, spans over 2.5 hectares and comprises four 7-storey apartment blocks, featuring a total of 628 units ranging in size from 48 to 77 square meters. As part of a commercial housing development, the social housing area enjoys full access to the project's infrastructure amenities, including community spaces, parking lots, green parks, and transport facilities. This initiative is also the first social housing project in Long Thanh Commune to meet commercial standards.

Regarding progress, two of the four blocks, comprising more than 300 units, are expected to be topped out by December 2025. The remaining two blocks are scheduled to reach topping-out in the first quarter of 2026.

The loan agreement between Long Thanh Riverside Joint Stock Company and Vietcombank Long Thanh branch marks a significant milestone, reflecting the trust, partnership, and mutual commitment of both parties in developing sustainable and human-centred social housing products.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Long Thanh Commune Le Hoang Son stated that the implementation of the Social Housing Project in Long Thanh Commune brings to life the sound policies of the Party and the State, reflecting the deep concern of provincial and local leaders for improving quality of life and enabling workers and residents to "settle down and prosper." He emphasized that this project is not merely a housing development, but a "home of aspirations" as a foundation for workers to feel secure, establish long-term residence in Long Thanh, and contribute to the locality’s overall development.

The commune leaders pledged to create the most favorable conditions and support the developer in ensuring security, public order, and the integration of social infrastructure throughout the construction process. They will also work closely with relevant authorities to guide and oversee the review and approval of applicants eligible to buy or lease social housing, ensuring that all applications are processed in accordance with the law, fairly and transparently, for the proper beneficiaries.

Chairman Le Hoang Son expressed his hope that with the developer’s determination, the support of residents, and the companionship of local authorities, the iD Town Social Housing Project will be completed on schedule, meet quality standards, and soon be put into use, providing a modern and civilized living space for the people in Long Thanh. This initiative will contribute to shaping the urban landscape around Long Thanh Airport and help to fulfill the province’s social housing development targets for the 2025–2030 period.
