A year full of numbers that speak for themselves
The year 2025 marked a new milestone in Dong Nai’s economic development. According to the provincial Statistics Office, the province’s gross regional domestic product (GRDP) grew by 9.63 percent year on year, exceeding the Government-assigned target of 8.5 percent and placing Dong Nai among the top seven localities nationwide in terms of growth.
Growth momentum intensified in the fourth quarter of 2025, with GRDP expanding by 10.73 percent, the highest rate in the southeastern region and ranking fourth among 34 provinces and centrally run cities nationwide. In the first nine months of the year alone, GRDP rose by 8.86 percent, with the third quarter recording a robust 10.18 percent increase, positioning Dong Nai third nationwide for quarterly growth. In terms of economic structure, industry and construction continued to serve as the main pillars, growing by an estimated 11.52 percent. The services sector expanded by approximately 9.39 percent, while agriculture, forestry, and fisheries grew by 3.22 percent.
Beyond GRDP growth, 2025 is also projected to mark the first time Dong Nai reaches a budget revenue milestone of 100 trillion VND, signalling a solid financial foundation for further investment in community development, infrastructure and social welfare.
A key factor underpinning Dong Nai’s economic breakthrough in 2025 has been the restructuring and streamlining of the administrative apparatus following provincial consolidation, in line with reform-oriented and innovative governance aimed at “unlocking new development space”.
The reduction of intermediary layers and administrative focal points has significantly shortened processing times for businesses and citizens. Many enterprises and residents have voiced strong support, noting improvements in the investment and business climate, smoother procedures related to construction, land and investment, and faster delivery of public services.
A leaner administrative system not only helps cut costs but also enhances management efficiency and governance capacity, reinforcing public confidence that Dong Nai is truly entering a new phase of development with tangible benefits for its people.
Driven by momentum from industry, services, and investment, local residents are enthusiastically “awakening” to a new phase of development. The figures for GRDP growth and budget revenues are only the visible indicators; behind them lies the day-by-day transformation of the residents’ livelihoods and sentiments.
Processing and manufacturing industries continue to play a central role as the backbone of the economy. Many large enterprises have expanded operations, secured new orders and boosted exports, creating jobs and ensuring stable incomes for tens of thousands of workers. Meanwhile, service sectors such as transportation, logistics, finance and banking, telecommunications, trade, and consumer services have expanded rapidly, diversifying employment opportunities and reducing dependence solely on industry or agriculture.
Dong Nai remains an attractive destination for foreign direct investment (FDI), alongside a surge in domestic investment, generating comprehensive development momentum.
Across many localities, residents have expressed optimism as factories emerge, industrial parks become more vibrant, roads are upgraded, and modern services come into operation. Living standards are steadily and visibly improving, while confidence in a stable and forward-looking future continues to rise day by day.
From rural areas to urban centres, confidence spreads
Positive change is evident not only in cities and industrial urban areas but also in rural communities and villages surrounding industrial zones, where transformation is increasingly visible.
Farmers and rural workers are shifting towards industrial employment with more stable incomes. At the same time, children and young people have broader career options in industry, services, logistics, and trade, rather than relying solely on agriculture.
The real estate and housing makets, along with commercial services covering from markets, supermarkets, to shopping centres, have become more bustling, contributing to improving people’s living standards and enabling better conditions for food, clothing, and housing.
With development planning in place, infrastructure investment has been prioritized. From transport and regional connectivity to urban development and social amenities, people can feel more clearly the emergence of a “new Dong Nai” — modern, dynamic and well-integrated — that offers not only jobs but also opportunities for advancement and long-term growth.
New Year, new aspirations
As the year 2025 is drawing to a close, Dong Nai presents a vibrant economic picture that lays a strong foundation for accelerated development in the years ahead. By exceeding key targets, the province has reaffirmed its position not only as an industrial hub but also as a major national growth pole.
Alongside nationally significant projects such as Long Thanh International Airport, expressways, and ring roads, which are boosting trade, logistics, and real estate, numerous local infrastructure projects are being fast-tracked, expanding space for living, production, and services.
Residents, businesses, and authorities are united by a shared determination to sustain growth momentum, implement supportive policies, improve living conditions, and pursue sustainable development, so that Dong Nai truly becomes a "promised land" for aspiration, entrepreneurship, and a better quality of life.
Looking ahead to 2026, new opportunities are expected to emerge, including more stable employment, improved services and synchronised infrastructure — all contributing to a stronger, more civilised and modern Dong Nai. Amid the illuminated streets, fertile fields, industrial parks, and emerging urban areas, confidence, hope, and the aspiration for development continue to spread, as steadfast as the resolve of the people here.
