Long Thanh commune determined to fully achieve and surpass all development targets in 2026

On December 27, the Long Thanh commune People Committee held a conference to set targets for the socio-economic development plan and the State budget estimates for 2026.

Attending the conference were Duong Minh Dung, Member of the Standing Board of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Long Thanh Commune; Nguyen Sang, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Commune Party Committee; Le Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People Committee of Long Thanh Commune, together with leaders of departments and agencies, heads of 27 hamlets, and representatives of 19 schools across commune.

In 2025, with the high determination of the entire political system, resolute and effective leadership and administration in implementing assigned tasks and solutions across all fields, and the active efforts of the business community and local residents, Long Thanh commune recorded positive and comprehensive socio-economic results.

All major targets and tasks in 2025 were achieved or exceeded in accordance with resolutions of the Commune Party Committee and the People's Council, including 14 targets surpassed and 17 targets met. Notably, State budget revenue assigned by the province exceeded by 264.89 per cent; job creation and vocational training for workers reached 142 per cent, surpassing the target by 42 per cent. Information and communication activities, culture, arts, and sports were conducted in a vibrant and diverse manner. Healthcare and education developed in a coordinated way, ensuring social welfare and improving the quality of life for local people. Administrative reform, digital transformation, science and technology, ethnic and religious affairs recorded many positive results. Political security and social order and safety were firmly maintained.

Speaking at the event, Le Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People Committee of Long Thanh Commune, acknowledged and commended agencies and units from the commune level to hamlets for upholding a proactive and creative spirit, overcoming difficulties and challenges, and successfully fulfilling socio-economic and national defence and security objectives in 2025.

To accomplish the objectives and tasks set for 2026, the Chairman of the Long Thanh Commune People Committee called on heads of agencies, units, and hamlets to focus on four key areas: economic development and budget management; construction of transport infrastructure and public green spaces; ensuring social welfare; and maintaining political security and social order and safety. In particular, the commune is determined to fully achieve and surpass all socio-economic and national defence and security targets in 2026, following the principle of “four clear aspects”: clear people, clear locations, clear timelines and clear effectiveness.

In addition, priority is given to the management of budget revenues and expenditures, the scientific and highly feasible allocation of public investment capital, and efforts to direct and accelerate project implementation. Attention should also be paid to social welfare policies, strengthening efforts to prevent corruption and waste, and promote patriotic emulation movements among agencies, units, and local residents through practical, effective actions.

At the same time, Le Hoang Son asked for further acceleration of administrative procedure reform, the effective implementation of the one-stop-shop mechanism, improvement of public service spirit, and intensification of digital transformation.
