As a result of the second 2025 evaluation session, the OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council of Dong Nai province recognized 29 products as OCOP-certified. Among them, 25 products received 3-star ratings. Four products achieved 4-star status, including three mango products - dried mango, chili-salted dried mango, and crispy dried mango - produced by Thuan Huong Trading and Production Co., Ltd. (Thong Nhat commune), and red pheasant eggs produced by Thanh Mai Livestock Production and Trading Co., Ltd. (Xuan Phu commune).
From the beginning of 2025 to date, the OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council of Dong Nai has convened and assessed 80 OCOP products. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee, commended the proactive guidance and support from provincial departments, agencies, and the People’s Committees of communes and wards, as well as the dedication, effort, and determination of the producers participating in the OCOP Program.
The results of this evaluation session demonstrate that Dong Nai’s OCOP product development program is successfully achieving its objectives: focusing on the development of local advantage products and promoting deep processing to increase added value.

Despite its progress, the OCOP program in Dong Nai still faces several limitations, such as inconsistent product quality and limited management capacity among producers. This reality is evident in the fact that even at rest stops and tourist destinations within the province, Dong Nai OCOP products are scarce or absent, underscoring the weaknesses in promotion and trade facilitation in many localities.
To further develop OCOP products in the upcoming period, relevant departments and localities are encouraged to concentrate on several key tasks. In the short term, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will lead and coordinate with other provincial departments and the People’s Committees of communes and wards to review and propose a plan for implementing the OCOP Program for 2026–2030, aligning with objectives to develop OCOP products by region and value chain. Notably, in the second quarter of 2026, during the peak fruit harvest season in Dong Nai, the Department of Agriculture and Environment will collaborate with the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, along with other relevant agencies and localities, to organize a Fruit and OCOP Products Week. This event aims to widely promote and introduce OCOP products both within and beyond the province.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment will study and advise the Provincial People’s Committee in proposing that the Provincial People’s Council issue support policies for the OCOP Program for the 2026–2030 period. The Department will continue to take the lead and coordinate with relevant sectors to strengthen guidance, inspection, and supervision efforts, ensuring that OCOP products consistently meet all regulatory requirements. At the same time, it will create favorable conditions for these products to grow further, enhance their value, and gradually move up in classification.
OCOP producers are encouraged to actively enhance their management capacity, business skills, and market awareness, and to utilize state support resources to drive growth effectively. The Department of Science and Technology, through its innovation program activities, will provide training to OCOP producers to enhance management capabilities, develop products sustainably along complete value chains, and create distinctive OCOP products with high added value.
