Construction starts on social housing project in Tam Hiep ward

On the morning of December 19, in Tam Hiep Ward, as part of a series of groundbreaking, inauguration, and technical traffic opening ceremonies for projects and works across the province to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Social Housing Project in Tam Hiep Ward.

Attending the ceremony were Colonel Vo Thanh Danh, Member of the provincial Party Standing Committee and Commander of the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command; Provincial Party Committee member and Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Vu Ngoc Long; along with leaders of provincial departments, agencies, the Office of the provincial People’s Committee, local authorities, and representatives of investor and construction units.

The social housing project in Tam Hiep Ward is being developed by a joint venture between Dong Nai Urban and House Development Investment Limited Company and Dong Nai Housing Joint-Stock Company invests in the Social Housing Project in Tam Hiep Ward. With a total investment of approximately 648 billion VND sourced from the companies’ capital, the project is expected to provide around 520 apartments, making an important contribution to implementing the target of building 65,000 housing units during the 2025–2030 period, in line with targets assigned by the Prime Minister and set by the Provincial Party Committee, thereby helping to realise the national project to develop one million social housing units by 2030.

The project aims to meet housing demand for workers, labourers and beneficiaries of social housing support policies in Dong Nai Province. Beyond addressing housing needs, it is also expected to contribute to urban renewal and create a modern, civilised residential area.

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Vo Thanh Danh stated that the Social Housing Project in Tam Hiep Ward serves as a concrete evidence of Dong Nai Province’s determination to implement the Party and State’s guidelines on socio-economic development and improving living standards for the people.

Colonel Vo Thanh Danh highly appreciated the efforts and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the investor consortium, Dong Nai Urban and House Development Investment Limited Company, and Dong Nai Housing Joint-Stock Company, in close coordination with local authorities to bring this socially meaningful project to fruition.

On behalf of the provincial People's Committee leadership, Colonel Vo Thanh Danh commended the project investors for their strong commitment since the investment policy was approved, as well as their proactive coordination with departments, agencies, local authorities, and relevant units to enable the official commencement of construction. He also praised the residents in Tam Hiep Ward for their consensus and support of the policy, as well as for preparing the necessary conditions for the project’s implementation.

Colonel Vo Thanh Danh requested that project investor, construction unit, design consultants, supervision units and related parties strictly comply with regulations on construction investment procedures, ensure progress and quality, and maintain traffic safety, labour safety, fire prevention and environmental hygiene in order to minimise impacts on production and business activities, as well as on the living environment of residents and enterprises in the surrounding area.
