Assessing the potential and advantages of the Tri An Lake area, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Ut stated that Tri An Lake holds significant value and possesses strong potential and advantages for development across multiple sectors. In the coming period, the province will reorient its approach to utilize Tri An Lake under a multifunctional, multi-objective model, not only to serve as a freshwater source for residents in the downstream Dong Nai River area, but also to develop other sectors such as eco-tourism; tourism sites and destinations on the lake’s islands; and green energy exploitation, including solar power.
The Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee also noted that this is only an initial field survey. During the implementation process, the province will continue to adjust orientations, including zoning for fish cage and raft aquaculture on the lake. All planning efforts will be guided by the overarching principle of ensuring clean water sources to serve the people.
