At the land handover session, leaders of Binh Phuoc ward and relevant units met and discussed with residents who had agreed to cut down rubber trees on the land within the expressway project area, in order to hand over cleared sites to the construction units. The Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh section of the western North - South Expressway has a total length of 101.22 km with more than 940 hectares of land to be recovered. Particularly, the section passing through Binh Phuoc ward is approximately 13.8 km long, with more than 126 hectares of land to be recovered, including 864 plots belonging to organizations, households, and individuals within the project area.
According to Ngo Hong Khang, Chairman of the Binh Phuoc Ward People’s Committee, following the motto “90 day-and-night site handover in a rapid, decisive, and effective manner,” Binh Phuoc ward has closely coordinated with provincial and regional units to finalize the compensation plan. The consensus and support of local residents have been the “key” for the ward to achieve its goals promptly, creating the most favorable conditions for the national key expressway project to be implemented on schedule.
