The Extended Huong Lo 2 Project (Section 1, Phase 1), which is located on the traffic axis connecting Dong Nai with Ho Chi Minh City via the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, is expected to be completed in November 2025, after nearly five years of construction.

The Extended Huong Lo 2 Project (Section 1, Phase 1) has a total construction estimate of over 230 billion VND. Currently, Dong Nai province is also conducting investment procedures for Section 2 of the route, which will connect to the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway. Once completed in a synchronized manner, the route will help shorten the distance and travel time from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City, while contributing to easing traffic congestion on National Highway 51.
