Nearly 31% of land for the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh Expressway Expansion project has been handed over

Dong Nai Land Development Center reported that, regarding site clearance for the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh Expressway Expansion project, part of the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay Expressway, authorities have so far persuaded the handover of 106 land plots totaling more than 1.3 hectares, nearly 31% of the total land area required for the project.

The Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh Expressway Expansion Project has a total length of nearly 22 kilometers, with a 13-kilometer section running through Dong Nai Province. To serve project construction, Dong Nai province must acquire more than 4 hectares of land, involving 394 land plots located in the communes of Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, and An Phuoc.

Regarding land acquisition, compensation, and site clearance, the relevant authorities have completed land measurements and prepared cadastral maps. They have handed over land acquisition maps, technical land plot records, and cadastral information for the affected plots to the relevant units for implementation. At the same time, inventory work has been conducted and compensation, support, and resettlement dossiers have been prepared for 140 land plots, covering nearly 1.6 hectares, accounting for over 35% of the total number of plots within the project scope.

Localities have also begun the process of determining specific land prices, including consultations with pricing advisors, submission of documents, and preliminary steps toward implementation. However, as of now, a draft land price plan has not yet been issued.

Regarding resettlement, in Long Thanh commune, Dong Nai province, 27 households with housing structures have been inventoried. The Long Thanh branch of the Land Development Center has forwarded the list of households with homes on acquired land to the Long Thanh commune People's Committee for compilation of resettlement allocation dossiers in accordance with the regulations.

According to the Land Development Center, Dong Nai is expected to complete and hand over the entire project site to the investor in December 2025.
