At the conference, Nguyen Van Binh, Head of Tax Office 6 under the Dong Nai Tax Department, presented the Party and State’s guidelines and policies related to taxation, as well as tax regulations applicable to household businesses. Tax Office 6 currently manages over 8.7 thousand household businesses across eight communes: Trang Bom, Binh Minh, An Vien, Bau Ham, Hung Thinh, Dau Giay, Gia Kiem, and Thong Nhat. As such, the implementation of the policy to shift the tax management model for household businesses from fixed tax to declaration-based tax has drawn significant attention from household businesses and individuals.

The conference was held to disseminate information and provide guidance for household businesses on transitioning to the new tax management model, to ensure fairness and transparency in tax payments. Under the declaration-based tax system, household businesses determine their own revenue, expenses, and tax obligations, thereby ensuring that taxes are paid fairly and transparently in line with actual business activities. This method also helps businesses manage their cash flow and verify the origin of goods purchased and sold, while creating opportunities for business expansion. Small households can grow into larger ones, and larger households can transition into enterprises to benefit from government incentives.

The tax authority is currently implementing a 60-day peak campaign to support household businesses in completing the transition. After this period, the tax sector will continue to provide around-the-clock support, both indirectly and directly, through phone, Zalo, email, or in-person, hands-on guidance at business premises. It will also coordinate with solution providers and banks to assist with the necessary procedures, enabling household businesses to enter a new phase of business management and tax payment in the most effective manner.
