She highlighted Vietnam and Thailand’s shared strategic vision on sustainable economic development, focusing on high-technology applications across both industrial and agricultural sectors.
According to Ambassador Urawadee Sriphiromya, after 30 years of diplomatic relations, the senior leadership of the two countries have recently agreed to elevate their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership. This is an important milestone in diplomacy and development cooperation between the two nations. The Ambassador expressed her expectation that Dong Nai will make substantial contributions to this important milestone. She also noted that Dong Nai has recently attracted investment from a number of large Thai corporations and enterprises. In particular, the Amata Corporation (in Amata Industrial Park, Long Binh ward) invested in industrial zone and urban area infrastructure, the C.P. Group (in Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Long Binh ward) in animal husbandry, and the Super Energy Corporation PCL (in Loc Tan commune) in solar power projects.
A significant future advantage, according to the Ambassador, is the Long Thanh International Airport. Its impending operational debut is expected to enhance direct flight connectivity, offering a compelling incentive for continued Thai investment in the years ahead.
In response, Chairman Vo Tan Duc outlined the province's strategic advantages: a location roughly 30 kilometers from central Ho Chi Minh City and 40 kilometers from the seaport cluster of Thi Vai-Cai Mep. He confirmed that the first phase of Long Thanh International Airport is on track for completion in early 2026, a project slated to catalyze growth not only for Dong Nai, but for the entire Southern Key Economic Region. After 30 years since initiating a push for international cooperation in 1995, Dong Nai has signed 88 Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) at the provincial level with partners in 17 countries and territories worldwide, 27 of which remain active.
