During the inspection, Pham Duc Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Tran Bien Ward People’s Committee, reported that site clearance work has been nearly completed, reaching around 98 percent. The cleared land has been handed over to contractors for construction. For the remaining four households along Branch 2 who have yet to hand over their land, local authorities affirmed that compulsory land acquisition will be carried out if handover is not completed by November 15.
According to a representative of the project’s investor, the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board, overall construction has reached over 65 percent completion. Branch 1 of the project, which runs more than 3.7km from Vo Thi Sau Street to the terminal point at the intersection of An Hao Bridge and Dang Van Tron Street, is currently undergoing focused asphalt paving in sections where the roadbed has been completed. Meanwhile, Branch 2, stretching over 1.7km from the roundabout connecting with Branch 1 at Hiep Hoa Islet to the terminal point at the intersection of Buu Hoa Bridge and Dang Van Tron Street, is progressing more slowly due to recently handed-over land.
During the inspection, Ho Van Nam praised the efforts of the Tran Bien Ward People’s Committee and relevant units in accelerating land clearance over the past month. The ward established working groups to visit households directly, persuading them to hand over land, which proved effective in minimising large-scale compulsory acquisitions.
For the few remaining land clearance issues, Secretary Ho Van Nam of the Tran Bien Ward Party Committee instructed the ward authorities to coordinate with relevant agencies to thoroughly resolve them by November 15, ensuring a complete handover of the project site.

During a field check at five construction sites, Nam noted that overall progress in the past month has increased by only about 5%, indicating a lack of breakthrough in construction pace. He observed that while many sections had clear land, construction machinery and workers were sparse, and in some places, equipment was present but not actively in use.
Nam requested that the Dong Nai Province Construction Investment Project Management Board urge contractors to accelerate progress across all sections, aiming for technical opening of the road by December 2025. This milestone would coincide with celebrations for the 14th National Party Congress and the start of the New Year 2026. For sections where asphalt has been completed, the Secretary instructed the early completion of sidewalks, median strips, and tree planting to create a synchronized and aesthetic urban landscape.
The Tran Bien Central Axis Road Project is one of the locality’s key infrastructure developments. To implement the project, more than 33 hectares of land will need to be acquired, affecting 390 households, individuals, and organizations. With a total length of over 5.4km, the project commenced in 2022 and has a total investment of more than VND 1.5 trillion.
