Alongside the development of concentrated industries in major industrial parks and clusters, Dong Nai province is also home to many industrial production facilities rooted in rural areas, closely linked with the processing and consumption of local products and raw materials.

In recent years, rural industrial enterprises and production facilities have made constant efforts to find markets for their products. Step by step, they are building brand reputation, improving product quality, and gradually expanding cooperation and integration with international markets.

Enterprises make efforts

Gia Bao Group JSC, based in Binh Phuoc ward, specializes in processing cashew products. According to Director Tran Van Son, the brand “Ba Tu Binh Phuoc Cashew” was born from a desire to develop a local cashew identity. Several of the company’s products have been honored as exemplary rural industrial goods. In 2025 alone, its cashew with skin, peeled cashew, dried macadamia nuts, and garlic chili cashew were recognized as national-level exemplary rural industrial products.

Regarding the company’s development journey, Son said that securing raw material supply is extremely important. For years, Vietnamese cashew processors have had to import raw cashew nuts from countries such as Cambodia and African nations to sustain production. Through persistent efforts, Gia Bao Group JSC has developed hundreds of hectares of cashew raw material areas and is targeting more than 1,000 hectares by 2030, while building a large-scale and methodical production chain.

Exemplary Rural Industrial Products Exhibition Fair of the Southeastern Region – Dong Nai 2025 will take place in Dong Nai from November 24 to 30, 2025. The event will feature 250 booths, including 120 showcasing exemplary rural industrial products and OCOP products of Dong Nai, and 130 from other provinces and cities nationwide. The fair will serve as a platform for enterprises and production facilities in Dong Nai and across the Southeastern Region and the country to connect, exchange experiences, promote trade, and support cooperation for development.

Ho Son Tu, Director of Ho Son Tu Trading and Service Co., Ltd. (based in Xuan Hoa commune), said his company specializes in the production and trading of wooden furniture. Its products are distributed across various localities nationwide. Despite experiencing ups and downs, the company has remained committed to its development goals. Drawing from practical experience, Ho Son Tu emphasized that quality and pricing are the two key factors determining product consumption.

Assessing the economic development potential of Xuan Hoa commune, he noted that with its current strengths and resources, both the commune and local businesses have significant opportunities for cooperation and growth. To capitalize on these prospects, enterprises will continue expanding their production and business operations while actively seeking investment opportunities, with the support and facilitation of local authorities.

Surveys indicate that most rural industrial enterprises and production facilities remain small in scale, with weak infrastructure and a lack of high-quality human resources. These limitations hinder their competitiveness and prevent deeper integration into international production chains. If businesses must independently navigate their development paths, progress will be slow. Therefore, greater attention and support from state management agencies are essential, including the formulation of long-term development strategies and the implementation of tailored support policies.

Reaching new heights

Recognition as a provincial, or more significantly, national, exemplary rural industrial product affirms an enterprise’s efforts and provides a foundation for strong future growth.

Gia Bao Group JSC recently inaugurated the Ba Tu Binh Phuoc agricultural and food processing plant on September 19. With a total investment of 6.5 million USD, the plant provides a foundation for the company to accompany cashew farmers nationwide and contribute to strengthening the position of Vietnamese cashew products in global markets. Tran Van Son said the company is striving to master technology, secure autonomous production, and build a sustainable development strategy throughout its ecosystem from raw material areas to processing plants and finished products. Looking further ahead, the company is also aiming to establish a local cashew industrial cluster in Dong Nai to elevate the regional cashew brand on the global stage.

Similarly, Tuong Lai Co., Ltd. (Long Thanh commune) is among the pioneering enterprises bringing locally manufactured and processed products into global supply chains. The company specializes in producing technical plastic and rubber products, automotive and motorcycle components, and toys. Demonstrating strategic foresight, Director Truong Quoc Cuong took the initiative to join the Global Supplier Development Program (SDP) funded by the World Bank. In 2020, the company successfully completed both the SDP and the Samsung improvement program organized by the Industry Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

According to Truong Quoc Cuong, engaging in international supply chains means enterprises must meet stringent standards. Therefore, his company has invested hundreds of billions of VND in upgrading machinery and equipment to improve product quality. This is a long-term process that also requires building an advanced production management system that complies with international labor standards, ISO requirements and partnership criteria.
