Proactive in developing production and supply plans

The 2026 Lunar New Year, the Year of the Fire Horse, falls about one and a half months after the Gregorian New Year. Therefore, many businesses and OCOP entities have proactively developed production plans and connected with partners to implement appropriate production plans, ensuring a balanced supply of goods to serve the peak shopping season at the end of the year and during Tet.

Nguyen Hoang Dat, Director of Vinahe Co., Ltd. (Phuoc Binh Ward, Dong Nai Province) shared: The company developed its Tet production plan from Quarter 3 of 2025 to be proactive in sourcing raw materials at suitable prices. It is expected that the company's Tet holiday production volume will be equivalent to the same period last year. The company will focus on diversifying its products and designs to meet the growing demands of the market.

At the end of 2025, many large-scale trade promotion programs and fairs will be organized to promote and advertise local products and new services to the market, especially to connect with the upcoming Lunar New Year market. From October 28 to November 4, the 1st Autumn Fair 2025, the largest ever of its kind, will be held in Hanoi, gathering many characteristic products from 34 provinces and cities nationwide, including Dong Nai.

Similarly, Truong Van Thanh, Director of Nhu Hoang Agricultural Trade and Service Cooperative (Tho Son Commune, Dong Nai Province) said: The cooperative will start its Tet production season from November. It is expected that for the domestic market, the cooperative's supply of goods for the upcoming Tet holiday will increase by about 30% compared to the same period last year. The cooperative's main products are roasted salted cashews recognized with a 4-star OCOP rating. In addition to the domestic market, the cooperative also develops export markets for the year-end season.

Representatives of many businesses and production facilities said they would base their specific production plans on market developments, balancing appropriate production volumes for each item in the context of a consumer market forecast to face difficulties; while raw material input prices tend to increase in the last months of the year.

Pho Dinh Trung, representative of Cuong Hoa Dried Fruit Facility (Gia Kiem Commune, Dong Nai Province) said: The facility has already planned its production for Tet holiday. The facility's production volume will increase by about 10-20% compared to last year’s Tet holiday thanks to an early surge in orders this year. The facility continues to focus on producing fried pasta, fried corn, and dried fruits. In addition, the facility also produces Tet jams and dried beef specifically for Tet... Currently, as the prices of cooking oils and spices tend to increase, the facility proactively implements its Tet holiday production plan early to balance related costs.

Truong Van Thanh added: Although raw material and spice prices have increased by about 10% compared to the same period last year, the cooperative still proactively balances production costs to ensure stable selling prices. At the same time, the cooperative actively participates in many supply-demand connection programs and year-end shopping fairs to connect with partners and customers, expanding the consumer market for the peak shopping season at the end of the year and the upcoming Tet holiday.

Developing product lines exclusive to Tet holiday

In the context of a volatile market and increasingly changing consumer trends, many businesses and production facilities have proactively sought to connect with the market early in preparation for the Tet season. In particular, many production facilities have developed product lines and types of products exclusive to the Tet market to attract consumers and enhance market competitiveness.

Nguyen The Hung, Director of Hung Phat Dried Jackfruit Co., Ltd. (Binh Loc Ward, Dong Nai Province) said: The company proactively built a stable source of raw materials to meet production demand for the Tet market with a production volume increase of about 10% compared to the same period last year. At the same time, the company also actively connects with the market, updates designs, packaging, and products designed as gifts for the Tet holiday.

Similarly, Truong Van Thanh said: The main products of Nhu Hoang Cooperative are roasted salted cashews meeting 4-star OCOP standards. The cooperative plans to develop designs and packages exclusive to the Tet holiday with eye-catching gift “combo” sets to offer customers a wider variety of choices.

This year, in addition to traditional distribution channels such as markets, supermarkets..., many companies and establishments producing specialty goods for Tet holiday also plan to bring Tet products to e-commerce platforms and social media channels such as Facebook, TikTok Shop...
