According to information from the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee has assigned the Dong Nai Provincial Land Development Center to coordinate with the Dong Nai Land Registration Office to determine the scope and boundaries of the North–South high-speed railway project section passing through the province. Based on the preliminary design drawings of the project, these agencies will use the data to prepare and approve investment projects related to compensation, support, and resettlement. They will also establish the land acquisition and clearance maps once the project is officially approved, in accordance with regulations.

Earlier, following the direction of the Prime Minister, the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee assigned the Dong Nai Provincial Land Development Center as the investor of the subproject on compensation, support, and resettlement for the section of the North–South high-speed railway project running through the province. The center is responsible for preparing, appraising, and approving the investment project as a basis for implementation in accordance with regulations.
At the same time, the Provincial People’s Committee tasked the Department of Construction with drafting a proposal to the Ministry of Construction requesting an adjustment to the alignment of the high-speed railway route through Xuan Duong and Xuan Que communes to ensure suitability before the official design and investment project approval.
For communes and wards along the railway route, the Provincial People’s Committee directed local authorities to determine the scale, scope, and area affected, as well as the number of households and properties impacted. They must identify households requiring relocation, the available resettlement lots, and any additional lots needed while proposing plans for resettlement areas either within the commune or in nearby existing zones. The data must be submitted to the Provincial Land Development Center by October 30, 2025, for consolidation and reporting to the Provincial People’s Committee, to ensure timely instructions are provided. Localities must also coordinate closely with the center to prepare and submit the independent subproject on compensation, support, and resettlement for appraisal and approval as a foundation for lawful implementation.
In November 2024, during the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, the National Assembly approved Resolution No. 172/2024/QH15 on the investment policy for the North–South high-speed railway project. The railway will span more than 1,500 kilometers, with nearly 82 kilometers running through Dong Nai province. The section in Dong Nai includes one passenger station in the Long Thanh International Airport area, one freight station in Trang Bom commune, and two maintenance depots in Xuan Hoa and Xuan Duong communes. Dong Nai province is currently proposing the addition of another passenger station in Xuan Hoa commune.
