Establishment of the Vietnam Development Bank, Dong Nai branch

On the afternoon of October 10, the Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) - Dong Nai Branch held a conference to implement the State’s investment credit policy and inaugurate Dong Nai-based VDB. Attending the conference was Nguyen Duc Lenh, Deputy Director of the State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), Region 2.

The Dong Nai-based VDB was established under the decision of the Board of Directors of the VDB on the basis of merging the Dong Nai Transaction Office (under Transaction Office II) and the Dong Nai Transaction Office (under the Binh Duong – Binh Phuoc Regional Branch of the VDB). The branch officially began operations on September 1, 2025. As a branch of the VDB, its mission is to implement the State’s investment credit policy in Dong Nai Province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Duc Lenh, Deputy Director of the SBV, Region 2, shared: The establishment and official operation of the Dong Nai-based VDB will contribute to diversifying types of credit institutions and credit programs. Along with policy credit channeled through the activities of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies Dong Nai Branch, investment credit provided by the VDB will be an effective tool to promote the role of state credit in socio-economic development sustainably and efficiently at the local level.
