The successful inaugural Congress of the DTA for the 2025-2030 term has instilled fresh confidence and momentum in tourism and travel enterprises operating in the province. This paves the way for a dynamic business environment, effectively harnessing the local potential and advantages in both destinations and tourist markets.

Businesses collaborate to exploit tourism products

With over 400 members comprising businesses, organizations, and individuals active in the province's service and tourism sectors, the DTA is a crucial link in positioning Dong Nai tourism as a magnet for domestic and international visitors. Many enterprises are optimistic that Dong Nai tourism will undergo a "revival" and achieve robust growth in the near future. They anticipate that the province's new and distinctive tourism products will attract more tourists. The collaborative alliance between travel agents and destinations is expected to improve, fostering stronger, mutually supportive relationships in tourism business operations to yield the highest results. This, in turn, will boost the local economy and promote the image of Dong Nai's nature, culture, and people in the domestic and international tourism markets.

Le Quang Khanh, Member of the Board of Management of Son Ha Co., Ltd., which invests in, manages, and operates the Dao Yen Son Ha Tourist Area in Dong Phu commune, Dong Nai province, expresses his hope: "With the breakthrough plans and operational directions of the DTA in the coming time, Dong Nai tourism will affirm its brand, thereby awakening the many untapped tourism resources with high development potential."

The Dao Yen Son Ha Tourist Area previously aimed to develop by connecting itself with destinations and travel agencies to develop the province's tourism product chains. A notable example is the "One road, two destinations" tourism product development program. Following the merger, this tourism product is expected to have further development opportunities, capitalizing on advantages in transport infrastructure and an expanded product exploitation space.

Given Dong Nai's strength in developing green tourism, the Dao Yen Son Ha Tourist Area is ready to connect with other enterprises within the DTA to build and operate new tour packages, rich in the local natural, cultural, and human identity. This collaborative effort aims to develop products and propel local tourism further into domestic and international markets.

Support from Provincial and Central leadership

Identified as a vital economic sector for the province, Dong Nai tourism has recently received deep attention and direction from leadership at various levels. As a result, the Government, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee have issued numerous directives, resolutions, and plans on tourism development, creating momentum for the sector's breakthrough.

Sharing his expectations for the DTA, Vu Xuan Truong, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated: "The DTA has consistently received the attention, support, and guidance of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee, along with assistance from various departments and agencies. Following the merger, the DTA boasts a dedicated, dynamic, creative, and resourceful personnel team. Furthermore, Truong highly appreciates the orientations and development strategies outlined in the recent DTA Congress documents. The association's high determination aims to steer Dong Nai tourism towards green, sustainable development, while vigorously applying information technology to build and promote tourism products, destinations, and cuisine throughout the province, establishing a digital ecosystem for Dong Nai tourism. With these efforts, Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism believes and expects the Dong Nai tourism sector to achieve a strong breakthrough and development in the near future.

Vu The Binh, Chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Association (VITA), remarked: "The DTA has been adopting new directions with a high determination to promote local tourism development, actively contributing to the overall tourism development of the province and the entire country. Dong Nai possesses significant potential for robust tourism sector growth." The VITA Chairman believes that along with abundant resources, Dong Nai tourism also benefits from the decisive leadership and guidance from provincial leaders, the support of various levels and sectors, and the dedication and unity of tourism enterprises, which will be crucial drivers for accelerating Dong Nai tourism in the coming period.

Currently, Dong Nai's tourism environment is broadening, not just in space and boundaries, but also in a new mindset for tourism. The goal is to maximize the potential and strengths of the new Dong Nai province. With a spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and passion, every individual and tourism business member of the DTA will contribute to making Dong Nai a bright spot on Vietnam's tourism map, bringing practical benefits to the community and the homeland.

PHAM HUONG SON, Chairman of the Dong Nai Tourism Association

Sharing the development orientation for Dong Nai tourism in the following years, Vu The Binh suggests that the DTA should monitor domestic and international tourism development trends to update the situation and align its direction with the general trend. In recent years, tourism has undergone many changes in tourists' habits and demands. Therefore, tourism businesses need to focus on developing products that meet these demands, particularly cultural and eco-tourism. Critically, tourism products must evolve towards green and digital transformation, this is an inevitable trend in current tourism operations.
