Accordingly, the draft plan is being circulated for feedback from relevant departments, sectors, and the Dong Nai Tourism Association.
Tran Thi Thu Trang, Deputy Director of the CITTP, stated that the goal is to develop high-value experiential programs that feature journeys exploring nature and highlighting the historical, cultural, and ethnic values of the community. These will include visits to heritage sites, scenic attractions, and agricultural experiences, as well as enjoying local specialties in the northern region of Dong Nai. Notable destinations include Bu Gia Map National Park, historical relics, flag-raising ceremonies at border markers, and cashew production facilities in Vietnam’s “cashew capital.” The development of tourism products linked to Long Thanh Airport will help position Dong Nai as an appealing and distinctive destination, promote tourism communication, and affirm the province’s role as a new tourism hub in the Southeastern region capable of attracting both domestic and international visitors.

Therefore, the site survey program will serve as a foundation for building tourism products and gathering input from businesses and tourism experts. The initiative aims for sustainable development, increasing visitor stay duration and spending while promoting the consumption of local agricultural and traditional handicraft products. This endeavor will, in turn, create jobs and improve community livelihoods through tourism.

According to Trang, the specialized tour routes connecting Long Thanh Airport are designed to serve various visitor segments (international, domestic, transit, and business travelers) with flexible options. These include tours departing from Long Thanh Airport to explore Dong Nai and neighboring areas, tours concluding at the airport for traveler convenience, and packages of varying durations, such as day trips, short stays, and extended tours.

The tourism products are expected to be of high quality and appealing, combining cultural-historical, ecological, leisure, and community-based experiences. This effort will enhance the competitiveness of Dong Nai’s tourism industry and serve as an economic driver once Long Thanh Airport becomes operational. The survey program is scheduled to take place in December 2025.
