This event also provided an opportunity for businesses, cooperatives, and farmers to explore partnerships and new technology transfer, as well as to connect with the distribution of the province’s signature agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) items. Specifically, it aimed to promote Dong Nai’s farm produce on digital platforms, including TikTok and Instagram.

An opportunity to promote local agricultural products

The exhibition showcased key agricultural products and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) items from communes and wards across the province.

Ho Le Minh, an official from the Tan Hung commune Farmers' Association in Dong Nai Province, said the commune's booth showcased a wide variety of its key agricultural products, including rice, cashew nuts, pepper, and several types of fruit. The commune also has strengths in developing livestock models, including egg-laying hens, free-range chickens, and pig farming. It is home to livestock and crop cooperatives that maintain strong links with local farmers and apply scientific and technological advances in production to achieve high economic efficiency. However, most agricultural products are still produced and consumed locally, with limited deep processing or brand development for entry into supermarkets and modern distribution channels. By participating in this exhibition and trade promotion event, the commune aims to showcase its local products and expand market access, thereby increasing the recognition of its agricultural goods in the marketplace.

Nguyen Minh Quyet, head of the Farmers’ Association of Hamlet 8B in Loc Thanh commune, Dong Nai province, shared: “At the exhibition, our commune introduced rice grown by the S’tieng ethnic people using traditional methods that meet safety and quality standards. Currently, the commune has more than 300 hectares of rice fields, producing a large output, though most of it is still consumed locally. In addition, our booth showcased other signature local agricultural products such as pepper, pomelo, mango, and coconut. By participating in the exhibition, we aim to promote the rice grown by the S’tieng people as well as other key agricultural products of our locality.”

Toward a modern and sustainable agriculture

The exhibition showcased the spirit of innovation, creativity, and relentless effort of farmers, businesses, and cooperatives across the province. It served as an essential platform connecting scientists, administrators, enterprises, and farmers to share experiences, explore cooperation opportunities, and promote the transfer of new technologies. All booths at the exhibition incorporated digital transformation solutions, encouraging consumers to adopt cashless transactions and gradually fostering a digital generation and a digital society. These efforts contribute to enhancing product quality and promoting the use of e-commerce to introduce the province’s products to global markets through digital platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

The products, models, and technologies displayed at the exhibition vividly demonstrated that Dong Nai’s agricultural products have gradually established their brands and affirmed their quality in both domestic and international markets. The exhibition also highlighted the province’s strengths, particularly in crop production, with products such as cashew nuts, coffee, pepper, cocoa, durian, pomelo, rambutan, and banana, as well as in livestock farming with various deeply processed products.

Nguyen Huu Nguyen, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers’ Association, and Head of the Exhibition’s Organizing Board

Nguyen Van Kien, Chairman of the Tan Quan commune Farmers’ Association in Dong Nai province, introduced his locality’s booth decoration concept: “Our booth reflects the development of local agriculture, from the past, symbolized by the buffalo and the rice field, to the future of high-tech and organic farming. The commune currently has three OCOP products. Through the exhibition, we aim to showcase our local specialties and key agricultural products, including fruits, honey-based processed goods, and traditional brocade weaving. In terms of distribution, the commune has an effective cooperative that works closely with farmers to develop production and find stable markets for agricultural products.”

Le Thi Anh Tuyet, Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, said Dong Nai’s agricultural sector has made significant progress in recent years, undergoing a substantial shift from traditional farming to high-tech agriculture and promoting large-scale, value-added commodity production. As a result of these efforts, Dong Nai takes pride in many agricultural brands that have made their mark in both domestic and international markets, firmly asserting the province’s position in the agricultural sector.

The exhibition stands as a vivid testament to the dynamism, creativity, and bold spirit of farmers who dare to think and act. The achievements to date provide a solid foundation for the province’s agricultural sector to establish new strategic directions, further advancing the development of high-tech agriculture, green agriculture, and circular agriculture, thereby building a modern agricultural industry and cultivating innovative farmers.
