The working group surveyed irrigation works including: Suoi Ca Weir (Long Thanh commune); lines V and VI of Cau Moi Lake (Long Phuoc and Xuan Duong communes); Song May Lake project (Binh Minh commune).

The Suoi Ca weir irrigation project, consisting of 10 gates, is managed and operated by Dong Nai Irrigation One Member Limited Company. Currently, the project serves to irrigate about 320ha, and supplies industrial water to Hung Nghiep Formosa Co., Ltd. with a flow of about 9,939 m³ per day and night.

Suoi Ca weir and its canal system and water pipelines (with a used area of over 3.9ha) are within the land acquisition scope of the Long Thanh Airport Project. The Department of Agriculture and Environment proposed that the Department of Finance promptly advise the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Government, the Economic and Financial Committee of the National Assembly to include the Project of relocating Suoi Ca weir, irrigation ditch, and water supply pipeline of Hung Nghiep Formosa Co., Ltd. into the adjusted investment for phase 1 of the Long Thanh Airport Project to allocate funds for implementation, ensuring the progress of handing over the site when the Government plans to implement phase 2 of the Long Thanh Airport Project. The proposed implementation cost is about 1.8 trillion VND.

The Cau Moi Lake Project lines V and VI (Long Phuoc and Xuan Duong communes), managed and operated by Dong Nai Irrigation One Member Limited Company, currently serves agricultural irrigation for 1,000 hectares per year, reaching over 83.3% of its designed capacity. In addition, the project supplies over 30.2 million cubic meters of industrial water.

The Song May Lake project has a capacity of about 12.2 million cubic meters and is managed and operated by Dong Nai Irrigation One Member Limited Company. The project's task is to supply irrigation water for 950ha of winter-spring rice, 700ha of summer-autumn rice, and 600ha of seasonal rice, and to supply domestic water, combine aquaculture, and regulate floods for the downstream area. The Project of Renovating and Repairing Song May Lake was assigned to Dong Nai Irrigation One Member Limited Company for implementation; the total investment reaches about 59.7 billion VND, and is sourced from the provincial budget; the project implementation period is from 2022-2025.

After the project was approved, the investor organized the groundbreaking ceremony in January 2024. To date, the project has achieved about 98% of the contract value; only the downstream connection item (leading canal) of the emergency spillway has not been constructed due to difficulties in the construction site (the earthen canal overlaps with the land planned for use by the Ministry of National Defense). The Department of Agriculture and Environment proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider and approve the request for the Provincial Military Command to direct and create conditions for the investor to organize construction and complete this item.

After the merger, Dong Nai province has 215 operating irrigation works, including 83 reservoirs; 65 weirs; 41 pumping stations...
