According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Phu, the metro line connecting Dong Xoai to Bien Hoa, will combine with existing metro lines in the provincial planning connecting to Long Thanh International Airport and Ho Chi Minh City. Therefore, it will meet the transportation needs of passengers within Dong Nai province.

Regarding the alignment of the metro line connecting Dong Xoai to Bien Hoa, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quang Phu stated: The best option is to combine it with the alignment of the Project for the Road connecting Dong Xoai to Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City via Provincial Road 753, Ma Da Bridge; the line connecting Ma Da Bridge to Ring Road 4 - Ho Chi Minh City (Provincial Road 761) which Dong Nai province is currently implementing investment procedures.

Regarding the railway transport system, the province currently has the North-South railway line running through it with eight stations. In addition, according to planning, the province will have several high-speed rail lines along the North-South axis passing through a stretch of over 80 kilometers, including the Trang Bom-Hung Hoa railway and the Ho Chi Minh City-Loc Ninh railway. The province is also expected to have multiple metro lines, such as a line connecting Metro Line 1 to Tran Bien and Long Thanh Airport, the Thu Thiem-Long Thanh metro line, and a metro line connecting the urban areas of Bien Hoa, Nhon Trach, Long Thanh, and Long Khanh.
