Dong Nai Province's Agriculture and Environment Fund manages over 1,200 billion VND

On September 12, Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang had a working session with the Agriculture and Environment Fund, under the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Dong Nai Province.

According to the report by Tong Thi Hang, Director of the Provincial Agriculture and Environment Fund, the fund currently has 6 main sources of income: interest from loan activities funded by the provincial budget; interest from idle funds deposited at credit institutions and the State Treasury; interest from environmental rehabilitation and restoration deposits; 10% of the total revenue from forest environmental services; 3% of the revenue from the Dong Nai Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Fund, and other prescribed revenues. The total capital currently managed by the fund is over 1,200 billion VND.

At the working session, the fund's director presented the work plan for the remaining months of the year along with revenue and expenditure estimates; the revenue and expenditure plan for the Dong Nai Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Fund; the financial plan for forest environmental services; regulations on the management and use of environmental rehabilitation and restoration deposits; the percentage allocated for risk prevention; and the list of loan projects along with applicable interest rates.

From now until the end of the year, the fund's key tasks include continuing to provide loans for environmental protection projects; receiving environmental rehabilitation and restoration deposits; and sponsoring environmental protection initiatives across the province. It will also implement policies for disbursing payments for forest environmental services to individuals and organizations, and carry out tasks related to disaster prevention and control.

Speaking at the working session, Vice Chair of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang agreed to approve the contents, programs, plans, and tasks of the Provincial Agriculture and Environment Fund for the remaining months of the year. The provincial leader requested that the fund continue to refine its programs, plans, and regulations, and submit them to the competent authorities for approval as a basis for implementation.
