Delivering the opening speech, Vo Tan Duc, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, highlighted that, in the current situation, revising the provincial master plan is both a legal obligation and a crucial step to redefine and shape Dong Nai’s future.
According to Chairman Vo Tan Duc, Dong Nai is not merely a province in the Southeast region, but a strategic gateway to the broader southern key economic zone. It ranks among the leading localities nationwide in terms of land area and population. By 2025, its economic scale is projected to exceed VND 690 trillion, making it the fourth-largest economy in the country.
Dong Nai also features a comprehensive multimodal transport infrastructure, covering all five modes: road, air, rail, inland waterway, and maritime. Notably, with ten expressways under construction or in planning, totaling over 393 kilometers, which is about 7.6% of the national expressway network, the province is solidifying its position as a vital regional connectivity hub, offering significant potential for future growth.
