During the 2020–2025 term, Dong Nai has proven that high-tech agriculture (HTA) is no longer a distant concept but a practical reality, backed by compelling figures: nearly 50 trillion VND worth of HTA-applied products; 11 high-tech production zones; hundreds of participating businesses and cooperatives; and thousands of farmers trained and shifting to new production models.
HTA is considered an essential path to elevate product value in the era of integration. For a land with rich potential like Dong Nai, identifying HTA as one of the breakthrough tasks demonstrates the province's strategic vision, determination, and strong aspiration to rise.
Encouragingly, the drive to implement these models has not been confined to large enterprises but has extended to every cooperative and farming household, as they adopt a new production mindset in cultivation and animal husbandry. This very shift is what brings vitality and serves as a strong lever for HTA.
After merging with Binh Phuoc, the new Dong Nai province possesses over 1 million hectares of agricultural land, a rare advantage compared to other localities nationwide for building large-scale specialized farming areas, from industrial crops to export fruit trees, from farm-scale livestock breeding to forming linked chains to increase product value.
Dong Nai is not only focused on boosting productivity but also on building agricultural brands that can meet the demands of discerning markets and affirm the province's position on the global agricultural map. This endeavor is a bold and strategic move, as in today’s "flat" world, brand value is no less important than output value.
What drives Dong Nai's strong determination is the collective engagement of the political system, businesses, and farmers. The government is committed to creating favorable policies; enterprises are leading the way in applying technology and expanding markets; and farmers are ready to embrace new mindsets and take bold investment steps. This undertaking forms a development triangle that underpins sustainable success.
Looking back on its recent journey, it is clear that Dong Nai has built a solid foundation to become the country's HTA hub. Entering a new phase, the province holds even greater aspirations, not only to produce more, but to produce green, clean, and efficiently, with strong ties to the global market. This undertaking reflects an unwavering determination and a firm belief that Dong Nai's agriculture will rise to realize its inherent potential comprehensively.
The reality on the ground, from real people, real work, and a series of policies already implemented and underway, shows that HTA in Dong Nai today has become a story of trust, unity, and the determination to turn aspiration into reality. This feature also forms the basis for believing that Dong Nai will soon establish itself as one of the country’s leading centers for HTA.
