Disseminating labor and employment laws, engaging in dialogue with enterprises

On September 17, the Dong Nai Department of Home Affairs, in coordination with relevant departments, sectors, and units, hosted a conference to disseminate labor and employment laws and to engage in dialogue with enterprises across the province.

Attending the event were Director General of the Department of Employment (Ministry of Home Affairs) Vu Trong Binh; Member of the provincial Party Committee, Director of Dong Nai Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Huu Dinh, together with leaders of departments, sectors and 700 delegates representing enterprises in the province.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Huu Dinh emphasized that Dong Nai is one of the country’s key industrial provinces. In recent years, with the involvement of authorities at all levels, various sectors, and especially the business community, compliance with labor law regulations has seen many positive developments, and labor relations between employees and employers have remained generally stable. However, alongside these achievements, numerous limitations persist.

Specifically, as of August 31, 2025, in the province there were 587 enterprises owing payments for social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and occupational accident insurance, with total arrears exceeding 302 billion VND.

Regarding labor relations, some enterprises have yet to fully comply with labor law regulations, resulting in complaints, grievances, and denunciations from employees… The conference aimed to inform businesses about current regulations on labor law, employment, social insurance, and occupational safety and hygiene.

The conference covered several key topics, including Decree No. 219/2025/ND-CP dated August 7, 2025, issued by the Government on regulations for foreign workers in Vietnam; updates on the national online employment exchange; and efforts to develop databases in the fields of employment and occupational safety. The event also featured a dialogue between government agencies, departments, and enterprises, contributing to the creation of a safe and modern business environment.
