According to businesses, the combination of technological and financial resources from enterprises in the former Dong Nai area, together with the land, raw materials and spatial advantages of the former Binh Phuoc area, will contribute to building a stronger business community.
Synergizing business strengths
The merger to form the new Dong Nai province will enable local enterprises to leverage their inherent advantages, continue attracting investment capital, and expand growth into highly competitive sectors. The former Binh Phuoc area has significant potential to develop industrial zones and establish manufacturing and processing plants based on a diverse agricultural foundation.
To date, the newly merged Dong Nai has recorded more than 70,000 businesses registered on the national business registration portal. Among them, the private sector has contributed significantly to value creation and job generation, emerging as a key driver of local economic growth and social development.
In just the first eight months of 2025, the new Dong Nai recorded nearly 5,000 newly established enterprises with a total registered capital of more than VND 39.3 trillion. In addition, around 1,000 enterprises added over VND 57.2 trillion in capital to the market. Nearly 1,800 branches, business locations and representative offices were also registered across the province. This data reflects the significant potential and opportunities for enterprises to enter the market and expand production and business activities.
Despite strong development potential and broad opportunities for investment, business formation, and production expansion, including for domestic firms, enterprises continue to face operational difficulties. This reality calls for businesses in the newly merged Dong Nai not only to rely on their own efforts to overcome challenges, but also to strengthen linkages and cooperation with one another to achieve sustainable growth.
Speaking on behalf of the government, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee Vo Tan Duc affirmed that Dong Nai always considers the success of businesses as the success of the province itself. The private sector plays an increasingly vital and leading role as it represents the future of development. The province will continue to develop policies to support small, micro, and medium-sized enterprises, as well as household businesses in formalizing and transitioning to enterprise status. Bottlenecks, constraints, and barriers will be progressively identified and addressed to foster a more favorable environment for private sector growth.
“Besides connecting members, the Young Entrepreneurs Association will also seek to connect with organizations inside and outside the province, serving as a bridge between the State and the business community,”
Chairman of the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association Dang Quoc Nghi.
Expanding business connections in the new space
Hung Nhon Group in Ho Chi Minh City, which originated as a livestock farm in the former Binh Phuoc, has now grown into a leading enterprise in this field with a multi-sector ecosystem operating strongly in Dong Nai as well as the Central Highlands. The group is also stepping up international cooperation to implement major projects. According to Chairman of Hung Nhon Group Vu Manh Hung, these projects apply high technology with a focus on sustainability, in partnership with major foreign partners to enhance the competitiveness of the business.
Similarly, the Dong Nai Young Entrepreneurs Association (DYEA) recently held a consultative conference to launch after the merger with Binh Phuoc officially. The new association now brings together more than 700 members. These are core enterprises expected to become a key hub for linking and supporting the young business community. Accordingly, the association will focus on essential tasks such as connecting and protecting members’ interests, accompanying enterprises in production, investment and business activities, and promoting innovation and digital transformation to help young entrepreneurs access technological resources and modern management knowledge.
According to Chairman Dang Quoc Nghi of the DYEA, the association’s members operate across diverse sectors, spread across both the Southern part (the former Dong Nai) and the Northern part (the former Binh Phuoc). The administrative merger has created favorable conditions for the association to develop more strongly. To encourage enterprises to utilize each other’s products, goods and services, the association is promoting linkages and cooperation both within the young entrepreneurs community and with external organizations and enterprises.
Sharing the same view, Huynh Thanh Chung, General Director of Minh Hung - Sikiko JSC in Dong Nai province’s Chon Thanh ward, also emphasized that opportunities for business connections in the new space are wide open. He expressed hope that in the future, business networking activities will be held regularly, enabling enterprises across the province to explore and collaborate more closely in production and business.
Beyond production and business cooperation, the province’s expanded space also creates favorable conditions for enterprises to carry out social welfare programs and community support. According to Nguyen Duy Khuong, Chairman of 939 Trading Investment JSC (Ho Nai ward, Dong Nai province), local enterprises always link their business activities with social programs. In the coming time, enterprises will increase meaningful social activities, with priority given to mountainous and border areas of the new Dong Nai after the merger.
