In the first seven months of 2025, Dong Nai's agricultural sector recorded important achievements. The province developed 560 linkage chains for the production and consumption of agricultural products. There was no shortage of domestic water and no damage to agricultural production caused by salinity intrusion. Programs such as new-style rural development, One Commune One Product (OCOP), and the eradication of temporary housing all yielded positive results.

The Vice Chairwoman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee requested that the Department of Agriculture and local authorities continue to vigorously restructure the agricultural sector toward modernization, efficiency, and sustainability. The emphasis is on adjusting the structure of crops and livestock to suit ecological conditions and market demand, increasing the share of high-value crops and products, and strictly controlling plant and animal diseases to prevent large-scale outbreaks that could disrupt production.
Additionally, the province will focus on developing and expanding large-scale raw material zones linked to processing and product consumption, promoting the issuance of planting area codes and product traceability for agricultural goods, advancing organic and high-tech production models; maintaining and protecting existing forest areas, and urgently preparing a forest fire prevention plan for the 2025–2026 dry season.

The leadership of the Provincial People's Committee requested localities and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to focus on disaster prevention, particularly late-year storms, in order to minimize damage. At the same time, administrative reforms should be further strengthened, and 15 legal documents must be finalized and submitted to the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee for promulgation, thereby establishing a legal framework for sectoral management.
