Over VND 1.3 trillion invested in power grid infrastructure development

According to Dong Nai Power Company, after the provincial merger, the total investment capital for developing power grid infrastructure in the new Dong Nai province hits over VND 1.3 trillion.

Of this, the 110kV grid infrastructure includes 47 projects with a total investment of nearly VND 317 billion; the 22kV grid comprises 162 projects totaling more than VND 940 billion; and the remaining funds are allocated for power grid maintenance.

In addition, the province hosts power projects with capacities ranging from 110kV to 500kV, invested by units under the Southern Power Corporation. Notably, the expanded Tri An Hydropower Plant (approximately VND 3.9 trillion) is set to commence construction soon and is expected to be completed by 2027; the Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Power Plants (with a total capital of US$1.4 billion) are scheduled to start commercial power generation by the end of this year.
