On the afternoon of August 21, Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Nai Province Vo Hoang Khai chaired a working session with ALIAT Law Co., Ltd., based in Ho Chi Minh City, to discuss proposals for cooperation and intellectual property development tasks in the province.

Dong Nai is carrying out tasks under the province’s Intellectual Property Development Program. These include the establishment, management, and development of the “Vinh Cuu – Dong Nai Green-Skinned Pomelo” certification trademark for green-skinned pomelo products originating from the former Vinh Cuu District, and the “Tan Phu – Dong Nai Green-Skinned Pomelo” certification trademark for products from the former Tan Phu District.
In addition, tasks include the establishment, management, and development of the “Tan Phu – Dong Nai Durian” certification trademark for durian products from the former Tan Phu District, and the “Lam San – Cam My Pepper” certification trademark for pepper products from the former Cam My District.
After the merger of the former Binh Phuoc and former Dong Nai provinces into the new Dong Nai Province, ALIAT Law Co., Ltd. recommended continuing the implementation of these tasks.

The company proposed some areas where it can cooperate with the province from 2025, such as: establishing, managing, and developing new collective trademarks; improving the efficiency of managing and developing advantageous collective marks that have been established; and registering collective marks abroad...
In addition, training sessions will be held to provide knowledge on identifying and addressing intellectual property infringements, supporting businesses in designing and registering protection for standard trademarks, and registering rights and commercializing inventions, utility solutions, and copyrights of research works.
At the working session, the two sides discussed updates required following recent administrative boundary changes, issues related to intellectual property for local businesses, and the potential for collaboration among local authorities, enterprises, and the consulting unit as a foundation for future cooperation.
