(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s agriculture sector has emerged as a frontrunner in administrative procedure reforms (APR), demonstrating strong leadership commitment and effective management. The Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD) has aggressively streamlined its organizational structure, cutting down six subordinate units and consolidating district-level agricultural service centers to enhance efficiency.

From January to September 2024, DARD processed 1,407 administrative online applications, resolving 99.7% ahead of deadlines. Despite additional responsibilities assigned since 2015 without extra staffing, the sector managed to reduce its workforce by nearly 16%, surpassing provincial targets.

Key achievements include slashing processing times for three key procedures from three days to just 24 hours and simplifying 10 administrative procedures, exceeding provincial goals. Additionally, the sector carried out 165 inspections in 2024, handling violations and imposing fines nearing 2 billion VND.

Strong leadership oversight, targeted performance reviews, and linking administrative reform with rewards and penalties have driven continuous improvements. Meanwhile, the department actively promotes legal awareness, organizing dozens of outreach events to ensure compliance.

These efforts reflect Dong Nai agriculture’s commitment to enhancing transparency, efficiency, and competitiveness, contributing significantly to the province’s broader administrative reform agenda.
