(ĐN)- As year-end approaches, consumer demand in Dong Nai is on the rise, creating a key opportunity for businesses, especially in food and consumer goods, to scale up production and stimulate consumption through various promotional strategies.

Local producers such as Truong Giang Phat Co., which supplies pork to the market, are tripling output in the month leading up to Tet. “Demand is high, but we are committed to keeping prices stable for customers,” said Director Vu Van Tu.

Similarly, Domilk JSC, a Long Thanh-based confectionery company, is ramping up year-end production and launching promotional campaigns, including discounts, sampling programs at supermarkets, and refreshed Tet-themed packaging to boost brand visibility and consumer engagement.

Retailers are also seeing increased foot traffic and online orders. Cong Thanh Electronics Center in Bien Hoa is running sales, utility bill support programs, and lucky draw promotions in partnership with Panasonic, offering prizes worth up to VND 40 million.

Businesses agree that stimulating domestic consumption is critical to sustaining economic momentum. However, many also emphasize the need for effective government policies to increase purchasing power, especially during the crucial holiday season.

To support this, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has urged provinces to monitor supply-demand balance and ensure price stability during Tet 2025, aiming to achieve a 9% increase in retail sales and service revenue in 2025. In Dong Nai, the provincial Department of Industry and Trade is working with localities and businesses to assess essential goods reserves and market trends. Plans are in place to expand retail distribution points and respond quickly to potential supply disruptions.

On the promotional front, industry groups are ramping up trade fairs. The local wood industry is launching its largest annual sales event, the Tavico Home VieFurn Expo, from December 19, 2024, to January 19, 2025, featuring top furniture and design brands.

Meanwhile, Domilk is actively participating in regional trade fairs—from Dong Nai and Tay Ninh to Dong Thap and Vinh Long—seeking to expand its market reach during this prime sales window.
