The Ministry of Transport has announced that 10 major transport projects, worth over VND 33.6 trillion in total, are scheduled to break ground across the country in 2025. Among them is the Dau Giay – Tan Phu expressway project, a key component of the Southern expressway network.
Spanning over 60 kilometers, the expressway will run through the districts of Thong Nhat, Xuan Loc, Dinh Quan, and Tan Phu in Dong Nai Province. Phase 1 of the project will be developed under the public-private partnership (PPP) model, with an estimated investment of nearly VND 9 trillion.
The route will start at the intersection with National Highway 1 in Dau Giay town—connecting to the HCMC–Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway—and end at Km60+243.83 in Phu Son commune, where it links to the future Tan Phu–Bao Loc expressway. The first phase will feature a four-lane expressway.
In November 2024, Thang Long Project Management Board launched the bidding process to select a domestic investor. The bidding documents were issued from November 8, 2024, and submissions will close on January 7, 2025.
