(ĐN) – In Dong Nai’s dynamic development narrative, entrepreneurs are emerging as trailblazers who create new value, not merely as economic actors but as visionary strategists shaping green growth, spreading innovation, and elevating the province’s stature on the global economic map.

At 46, Luong Minh Liem, CEO of Tan Seiko J.S Co., stands as a vivid example of entrepreneurs who have risen from the manufacturing floor.
After 16 years in management at a Japanese firm, Liem launched Tan Seiko in 2017. What started as a modest workshop generating just VND 8 billion annually has since evolved into a major enterprise with three large-scale factories and annual revenues exceeding VND207 billion. Its products, from irrigation tubing to electronic components and precision molds, are now exported to the U.S., Japan, and China.
“Seven years into this journey, I’ve realized it’s never too late to start — if you have the passion and vision,” Liem shared.
Today, Tan Seiko’s entire production line is automated, with over VND50 billion invested in Japanese machinery to ensure global-standard quality. Each month, more than 32,000 Vietnam-branded products leave the factory floor and enter international supply chains.

While Liem represents the seasoned and resilient 1970s-born entrepreneur, younger generations are also making waves with bold startups and fresh thinking. One standout is Nguyen The Lam, founder of Laman, a rising services ecosystem launched during the pandemic in 2021.
“No pressure, no diamonds. I started Laman in a crisis with a simple goal: to deliver real value to the community,” said Lam, now CEO.
Laman began in event planning and tourism but quickly expanded into glamping, F&B, urban green spaces (Laman Garden), and most recently, entertainment, becoming the representative of Miss Cosmo Vietnam in Dong Nai.
Beyond building a business, Laman has cultivated a creative community, a launchpad for young people to grow, take risks, and generate positive social impact.

With more than 70,000 active businesses and over 2,000 FDI projects across 45 industrial zones post-merger, Dong Nai is now a national industrial powerhouse. Among these, the Young Entrepreneurs Association alone counts over 600 members. The private sector, anchored by these business leaders, is increasingly proving its critical role in driving economic and social transformation.
Strong prospects for Dong Nai’s vibrant business community
Over recent years, Dong Nai’s entrepreneur community has grown not just in numbers but in influence. From large-scale manufacturers to rural cooperatives, they have fueled job creation, attracted investment, restructured the economy, and fostered a rich corporate culture.
In today’s deeply integrated global environment, the role of entrepreneurs has never been more crucial. They are not only bringing Vietnamese-made products to global markets but also preserving cultural values and promoting social responsibility in every phase of Dong Nai’s growth.
From names like Tan Seiko and Laman to hundreds of other firms quietly building the economy, Dong Nai’s entrepreneurs are the architects of a renewed, digitalized, and globally connected era. Their Vietnamese spirit, intellect, and ambition are laying the foundation for a prosperous and resilient provincial economy, today and for generations to come.
According to Dang Van Diem, Chairman of the Dong Nai Business Federation, local entrepreneurs are at the frontlines of economic advancement, contributing significantly to GDP, public revenue, and job creation.
“In this era of global competition, Dong Nai’s entrepreneurs have adapted, innovated, and expanded internationally. Their efforts are key to shaping the province’s economic identity and global position,” Diem stated.
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Vo Tan Duc emphasized that entrepreneurs are the backbone for seizing new opportunities and propelling Dong Nai into a new phase of development. The provincial government, he added, highly values and fully supports the business community’s contributions.
Dong Nai is committed to facilitating enterprise growth by accelerating administrative reform, especially in tax, customs, and construction, while expanding partnerships between industrial, commercial, and high-tech agricultural sectors and international markets. These efforts aim to open sustainable investment channels and diversify market access.
A strong entrepreneur community is the cornerstone of long-term prosperity. With determination and support, Dong Nai’s business leaders are expected to remain the driving force in shaping the future of this vibrant southern province.
