Digital transformation: a catalyst for green economy development

(ĐN)- In the journey toward sustainable growth, digital transformation plays a pivotal role. It lays the foundation for building a green economy, promoting circular development, and addressing climate change. Recognizing its importance, the Vietnamese Government considers digital transformation a strategic priority, accelerating the shift toward a digital government and green production.

As one of Vietnam’s top six economic hubs, Dong Nai is under pressure to lead the digital transformation movement. In the industrial sector, businesses are racing to digitize operations to boost productivity, improve product quality, reduce labor intensity, and meet stringent global standards. Digitalization not only enhances competitiveness but also paves the way toward environmentally friendly manufacturing.

Exporters to markets like the EU, US, and Japan face rising technical barriers, cleaner products, recycled materials, minimal emissions, and ethical labor practices. Without digital transformation, businesses risk falling out of global supply chains. In contrast, those that prioritize digitalization see stronger brand value and more stable orders, giving them opportunities to scale up operations.

However, small and micro enterprises face challenges, lack of capital, limited access to experienced tech consultants, and gaps in digital talent. To overcome these barriers, support from the Government and local authorities is essential. The faster businesses adopt digital solutions, the more they contribute to national economic resilience and budget revenues.
