(ĐN)- On December 27, Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance held an executive committee meeting to review its 2024 performance and set out tasks for 2025.
Chaired by Chairman Do Phuoc Dung, the conference gathered representatives from the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, local departments, and related agencies. In 2024, Dong Nai established 22 new cooperatives—13 in agricultural services and 9 in non-agriculture sectors—along with 59 new cooperative groups. The province also rolled out a series of support programs to strengthen the collective economy.

Local cooperatives have diversified their services to better meet member and market demands. Notably, the alliance submitted two key proposals to the provincial People’s Committee: one on raising public awareness of the collective economy for 2025–2030, and another on supporting digital transformation for local cooperatives in the same period. Both are currently under review for implementation.
Despite progress, the cooperative sector still faces limitations. Output markets remain unstable, while product quality, scale, and competitiveness require significant improvement to meet market standards.
Looking ahead, in 2025 the Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance will focus on guiding cooperatives in aligning operations with the newly enacted Cooperative Law 2023. It also aims to expand membership by 15–20 new cooperatives and successfully organize its 7th congress for the 2025–2030 term.
During the meeting, officials also discussed plans to strengthen the alliance’s Cooperative Support Center, collecting feedback to enhance its effectiveness.
To mark the occasion, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance awarded commemorative medals to 24 individuals for their significant contributions to the development of the cooperative movement.
