After completing the bridge beam placement, contractors will pour the bridge deck and complete other works.
According to Tran Hoang Nam, Director of the Project Management Board, under Mekong Construction Investment Joint Stock Company No. 1, for the entire Thong Nhat Bridge work, contractors will have to place and install 168 beams for 14 bridge spans. Currently, contractors have completed placing and installing beams for 9 bridge spans. The remaining bridge spans will have their beams placed and completed in August 2025.
Regarding the complete construction of all works of Thong Nhat Bridge, Tran Hoang Nam stated that after completing the beam placement, the bridge deck pouring will be carried out. The complete construction of Thong Nhat Bridge still depends on the progress of site handover, as currently, the site for the approach road construction has not been fully handed over.
The Bien Hoa City Central Axis Road Construction Investment Project is over 5.4 km long, starting at the intersection with Vo Thi Sau Street and ending at the intersection with Dang Van Tron Street at An Hao Bridge interchange. The project has a total investment of approximately 1.5 trillion VND. Of which, package No. 11 - construction of Thong Nhat Bridge, two approach roads, and ensuring road traffic safety during the project construction has a value of over 479 billion VND.
According to the design, Thong Nhat Bridge has a scale of 6-10 lanes, a width of 45-95m, and a length of about 765m, of which the main bridge is 559m long. The project started construction in early 2023, however, the construction progress has been continuously delayed due to difficulties in site clearance.
