Car market grows 21% in first half of 2025

(ĐN) – According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), total vehicle sales in June reached over 31,900 units. Of this figure, domestically assembled cars accounted for more than 14,300 units, up 4% compared to May. Meanwhile, fully imported vehicles reached about 17,600 units, marking a 14% increase month-on-month.

In the first half of 2025, total car sales by VAMA members exceeded 163,000 units, representing a 21% increase over the same period in 2024. When including data from non-VAMA members that release their own figures, such as Hyundai and VinFast, total vehicle sales across the domestic market reached over 254,700 units.

The top 10 best-selling car models in the January–June period include VinFast VF3, VinFast VF5, Mitsubishi Xpander, Ford Ranger, VinFast VF6, Mazda CX-5, Toyota Yaris Cross, Toyota Vios, Ford Everest, and Ford Territory.

According to several car dealerships in Long Binh ward, the auto market has shown positive momentum in the early months of this year. During the summer season, many automakers and dealers have been actively rolling out promotional campaigns and registration fee incentives to attract more customers.
