Action plan to promote green growth in Dong Nai

(ĐN)- Dong Nai is deploying an action plan to implement the Provincial Strategy on Green Growth from 2021-2030, vision to 2050.

The plan aims to achieve green growth by restructuring its economy, renewing its growth model, and transitioning towards net-zero carbon emissions in 2050. It targets seven key sectors including energy, transportation, industry, environment, agriculture and land use, construction, and urban development. With a clear roadmap, the province aims to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2030 and reach net-zero by 2050. Following the recent provincial merger, the new Dong Nai remains committed to these green goals and has actively translated them into concrete actions.

Initiatives include rooftop solar energy installation in industrial zones, green transportation policies, smart urban planning, and low-carbon agriculture. Resources from the former Binh Phuoc province—such as vast forest areas, biomass potential, and agricultural land—will be integrated into Dong Nai’s broader development strategy.

The province has also established a Green Growth Steering Committee, engaging businesses, scientists, and local communities. It offers green finance incentives, tax breaks, and land access to support eco-friendly production and consumption.

With a strong commitment, sustainable ecosystem planning, and modern infrastructure development, Dong Nai pledges to become a national leader in green economic growth by 2050.
