(ĐN)- Thong Nhat district is one of Dong Nai’s pioneering localities in developing organic agriculture, with effective models focused on key crops such as pomelo, durian, and mangosteen. The district has partnered with Que Lam Group J.S Co. to implement organic-oriented production, building a sustainable value chain for clean agricultural products.

Local farmers’ awareness of safe and clean production has improved significantly. Many have reduced their reliance on chemical inputs by composting agricultural by-products, planting grass to improve soil structure, and gradually eliminating synthetic fertilizers and pesticides.
Currently, the district has nearly 71 hectares of organic farming, 33 organic-oriented production models, and 75 value chain linkages for key agricultural products. However, challenges remain, including small-scale operations and difficulties in product recognition and market access.
To improve the situation, the district is encouraging business investment and expanding linked production systems. Pilot models have shown positive results, such as the organic durian project implemented by the Lac Son rambutan–durian cooperative. The farming model strictly avoids the use of herbicides, preservatives, chemical pesticides, toxic residues, and growth stimulants.
With technical support and a 50% subsidy on organic fertilizers from Que Lam group, farmers have seen improved productivity and market confidence. The company also guarantees stable purchasing, helping ensure long-term viability for organic growers in the region.
